Neighborhood

Keep in mind these are winding mountain roads. Many of the best attractions are spread out. You will spend a lot of time in the car. The park is gorgeous but timely to navigate for first time flat-landers. There is no Cell Service once you're in the park so be prepared with maps or screen shots. There are no cabins inside the park other than the ones you may pass on certain hikes that are 100 years old and not inhabitable. It's a national park since 1934. GATLINBURG: 8 mountain miles. PIGEON FORGE: 6 Miles mountain miles. Cade's Cove: 30 miles. 1 hour 30 minutes to get there. The loop at Cade's cove is 10.6 miles. Drive it, rent a bike at the start and bike it, or run it. It is closed to cars and open to runners and cyclists Wednesday and Saturday mornings until 10:00am Early May to Late September. Clingman's Dome: 30 miles. This will take 3-4 hours round trip. There are plenty of amazing hikes at Newfound Gap on the way up such as Andrews Bald and "The Jump Off" and also on the way up to Clingman's Dome area. Those less adventurous should at the very least check out the observation tower at Clingman's dome. Luke’s cabin was amazing! The views are SPECTACULAR and the cabin was wonderful for my family (2 adults, 2 kids — 3 and 5). The amenities were awesome and we loved playing a round of pool at the end of the day in the upstairs loft. Water pressure was great and water was always warm. The hot tub worked wonderfully, and even though it was chilly outside, the hot tub was close enough to the door back inside that we didn’t freeze on the way in. Everything was up to (or above) par — upstairs bed is way more comfy than the downstairs bed, however. We always had stable WiFi, as well. About 20-25 mins from town. Not a criticism, but a tip for future renters — the drive in is STEEP. If you’re not planning on renting an AWD vehicle with good tires, change your plans. The cabin is easy to find and GPS takes you right there, but be prepared for the hills. Do NOT skimp on a good rental car — we had a Subaru Crosstrek with AWD through Turo and it was perfect for the terrain.

The cabin was so cozy and clean. We loved the location and how secluded it is. The view was stunning, everything I wanted. Also loved how close the restaurants, shops, and attractions were. We plan to return. Appreciate the communication with hosts also! For my first Airbnb stay I was extremely happy.

While the location was remote, it's absolutely beautiful and easy to get to. Waking up every morning with those views and enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony or glass of wine in the evening in the hot tub was amazing. Highly recommend it would definitely go back again.

Your car will not have any trouble getting up and down, we just like to make things perfectly clear. If you want the view you have to drive up! If it has been raining your car will get dirty. You will need 4 wheel drive if it snows. No refunds are given for weather so please check the forecast before you travel. 4x4 and Groceries if you're lucky enough to get snow.
